Family Trip  to Oahu, Hawaii in 2016!

Day 2 – Visit the world famous North Shore

SUNSET BEACH

Sunset Beach is less than a mile away from Pipeline. The world’s best big wave surfers hone their skills at Sunset. This wave breaks further out than Pipeline but the raw power and mountainous waves will captivate you. The beach is dreamy and picturesque, perfect for long walks. Our family (along with the locals every night) love to park our car right in the front of the beach path, sit on the wood border between the beach and the path and watch the sunset over Ka’Ena Point. Sometimes we will bring food or drinks and enjoy a family picnic, watching the sunset. Some regulars bring guitars and serenade the passersby. As a side note, if you want to go for a bike ride, walk, or run, the beach path is a fun option that runs along the coast and is approximately 2 miles long from Sunset Point to Shark’s Cove by Foodland.
