In my opinion, Opal Thai is the hidden gem on the island. This is a top recommendation and worth the drive and effort no matter where you are on Oahu. The menu get’s thrown out when the owner comes to take your order. You think you know Thai food? Think again. He will blow your mind and create dishes unlike anything you’ve ever tasted. The chef is a Bangkok native and this meal will be a delicious and authentic thai experience you’ll never forget. Featured on the Food Network “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives”, host Guy Fieri raved about this delightful find. Everything is 100% homemade and fresh. It’s Cash only so come prepared and call ahead. In fact, call as soon as you reach the island to make sure which nights they will be open during your stay. They are closed every Sunday and Monday. With a large party, it might be tricky because of the small space. Small or large party, you will wait but you will be so grateful you did! Map Website
