You can also receive a free credit report through MyFICO.com and gain direct access to your credit score. This company maintains the information used by the bureaus, and provides the credit score most often used by lenders in evaluating your credit worthiness.

In order to receive your free credit report, you will have to sign up with the FICO site. You do have to pay for access to your credit score, but credit reports and monitoring is included in the monthly fee. This is helpful if you not only need access to your credit reports, but your credit score as well. Plus, you can receive notifications when anything changes in your credit reports.
