Don’t Over Apply
Yes, you need a few open accounts. But, don’t simply apply for every secured credit card offer that comes your way. Remember, each inquiry on your report can affect your score negatively.
If you do apply, make sure to wait at least 30 to 60 days between each application. Also, keep track of the hard and soft credit pulls, so you know how much a credit inquiry is going to affect your score at once.
