If you simply throw out a credit card statement, this is a big mistake. People go through your trash, find numbers, Social Security, DOB, and other personal information, which can put your identity and credit information at risk.
Rather, shred everything, especially if it has anything to do with credit cards or finances. Throwing your trash in the dumpster may seem safe enough, but it isn’t always.
