Protect the Scene
If there are shattered pieces of glass, tire track marks, broken pieces, or other debris, it’s important that you preserve it as much as possible. The police need to see all evidence, and if you can, you need to take photos of the damage. If there are injured parties, take photos of the injuries (after calling for 911 rescue).
The more evidence you can preserve, the better it is going to be for your case. If you aren’t at fault, preserving the accident scene can prove beneficial in proving innocence, and having damage repaired as quickly as possible.
