Alaska plays a huge part in the energy boom of the United States. Alaska is the largest state in the United States by territory. It has a strong per capita GDP at $61,853. It also provides the cities of this state with a top 10 per capita income. This ranks higher than other populous states, such as Rhode Island and California.
ConocoPhillips is one of this state’s largest energy players. This company is going to increase their investment in the oil fields. This means other companies may follow in their footsteps. Alaska may soon move up the list of the country’s wealthiest states as more strides are made in renewable energy and green living.
