Celebrity Rehab: Bai Ling on the Roof
Bai Ling’s tragic past while in the People’s Liberation Army led her to a life of alcohol abuse and mental health concerns. In a vested attempt to get better, she attended the Celebrity Rehab for one season. Unfortunately, her issues consumed her in an episode where she was found crawling across the roof.
For a short period of time, Dr. Drew wasn’t sure if she was planning a suicide attempt or just lost in a delusion. Refusing to take medication was cited as the reason for her meltdown. Later, Dr. Drew was able to talk her down safely, but it did increase awareness concerning alcohol abuse and mental health disorders.
