Deadliest Catch: Captain Harris Has a Stroke
One of the most emotional reality television moments aired in history, the captain of the famous fishing boat succumbed to a massive stroke in the middle of an episode. In true reality television show fashion, Deadliest Catch cameramen kept filming even after it became obvious that Captain Harris was extremely sick. This was true to his overall personality–he never gave up.
Captain Harris did make it to hospital, but never recovered from his illness. He fought to recover while writing notes to producers that they were to keep filming, no matter what happened. While cameramen did catch the moment he died on film, they chose to leave this out in favor of a final glimpse of the man looking out his hospital window.
