There are two trails in this small park. One is the pond loop, which is about half a mile, and the other is the canyon loop, which is a bit longer. You can make this a longer run by continuing on to the Talbert Nature Reserve, which has a trailhead in the park’s parking lot. There are mixture of paved and unpaved surfaces. Naturally, you can also run either trail more than once if you want a longer run.
Canyon Community Park is located in the midst of a number of residential homes. This park also has a playground, so there are often children around. The City of Costa Mesa provides regular police patrolling of the area so you get a stronger feeling of safety.
