This science fiction novel for young adults was written by Veronica Roth and is the third part of the Divergent trilogy. Allegiant was published by HarperCollins in 2013. The film adaptation is scheduled to be released in 2016, by Summit Entertainment.
Allegiant is written from the perspectives of Beatrice and Tobias, also known as Tris and Four, and gives readers a new view of their lives, their survival, and the battles they had engaged in over the first two books of the series, Divergent and Insurgent. In 2014, the book sold 1.15 million copies in paper back, making it one of the best of the year, but placing it third in regard to the sales of the other two parts of the Trilogy.
