Just getting in a decent walk each day can help trim down belly fat, especially if you’re focusing on engaging your core while you do it. When walking, make a conscious effort to pull your belly button towards your spine, tightening your stomach. That’s when fat burning can take place. You won’t see many results if you allow your belly to stay slack as you walk.

Walking works a number of muscle groups, so it is a good exercise for other parts of your body besides just the stomach area. If you don’t think you can walk a long distance, that is okay. Start with a walk down the street and work your way up until you can walk a few miles each day.
