Venice
Venice is located in Sarasota County and in 2010, had a population of just over 20,000. This city is also commonly known as the Shark’s Tooth Capital of the World because of its annual Shark’s Tooth Festival which celebrates its fossilized shark’s teeth. The City of Venice provides arts events and a number of museums listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Venice is separated into two parts: The Mainland and The Island of Venice. Regardless of which area you choose, both offer housing options that are all in close proximity to the beach. It’s great for those looking for an affordable yet impressive area, especially for golf enthusiasts.
