Now to confuse the issue even more, there is also a “PSAT 10”: This is NOT the SAT college entrance test and it is NOT the PSAT/NMSQT…it is a 10th grade version of the SAT that is offered simply for 10th graders to see how they are doing. It is NOT required for college entrance—it is simply an option that students have if they choose it. The score is not used for any purpose in the college application process.
