Day 3 – Food for the Family in Waikiki

Lunch or Dinner – Dukes (on the beach)

Try the Ahi Poke, Hula Pie, and Fish Tacos. There are two seating areas with slightly different menus and price points. The more casual, less expensive option is the outside patio area and generally a better option if your kids are a little wild like ours can be. Dukes is a great location to sip a pina colada while enjoying the warm ocean breeze. Dukes is recommended a little more for it’s location (might be the best location in town) than for its cuisine, it’s still a great option in town. Map Website

Casual Lunch or Dinner in Waikiki – Cheeseburger in Paradise (across from the Duke Statue)

They have a few locations in town but we always go to the one closest to the Duke Statue (across from the main beach in Waikiki). Imagine a Jimmy Buffet inspired open air restaurant across from the beach. Some people just go for a drink and hang out at the bar and catch a game. It’s a great choice for a casual lunch or dinner with the family. The burgers are great, fantastic pina coladas, and the onion rings are highly recommended, and of course the sweet potato fries! One of mu absolute favorites is the tropical catch of the day sandwich, especially when that catch is Ahi Tuna. It’s fresh and yummy. Also, a must is the coconut shrimp with the mango chutney, they are flavorful and crunchy and just right. Nightly, they play live music which makes for a fun, boisterous atmosphere. Map Website
