If there is an issue, are they easy to reach? How long does it take to resolve any issues? What do you need to do to get an issue resolved? How good is their service team and how quickly do they fix issues?
You want to know if your site goes down, it is back up quickly. If issues arise, they are dealt with appropriately. Make sure the hosting company offers solid support and can help resolve issues in a timely fashion for you as a customer.
