10 Things You Need to Know Before Getting a Credit Card

Legally Binding Terms

When you apply for a credit card, you agree to pay on time each month, until the balance is paid in full. You sign legal documents promising to pay off the card in a set period of time, and if you fail to hold up your end up the bargain, the company can take you to court and sue you. Always read the terms and conditions before activating a credit card.

High interest rates, outrageous late fees, and other features can cause you to default on the terms if you are not aware of them. All it takes is one mistake with a credit card to doom your financial future and it is important to be able to have and maintain at least one credit card in today’s world.
