When it comes to a new car, you have to go to the dealer for repairs. Especially early on. With this also comes the high dealer repair costs. Since most dealers are forcing buyers to go to them for maintenance, this means more out of pocket cost to you.
When you choose used, this is not the case. Not only are parts cheaper, but you can take the care where ever you want to go for repairs. And, as it is not a brand new car, mechanics and body shops are less likely to charge as much as you’d pay at a dealership for repairs.
