In Romans 12:19, the Bible discusses vengeance taken on others who have wronged you. Depending on what your view of vengeance is, committing an immoral act, beating, or otherwise injuring others, is something which isn’t considered legal today.
The passage goes on to say that God is the one who should take vengeance, and we should allow him to make others pay for their sins and acts of vengeance. Don’t directly attack, but allow your “creator” to do so for you is the message behind this passage.
