Believe it or not, Florida didn’t take the top spot (in fact, isn’t on the list at all). Wyoming is considered the top state for retirees to flock to after finishing work. Low taxes, a low crime rate, and great weather year round, make it a popular destination for retirees to consider.
Rental rates are fairly similar to other states. But, discounted prices on fuel, entertainment, and even vehicle maintenance, help to keep the cost of living rather low, which is something retirees on a tight budget are going to look for when choosing a state to live in.
