JFK Assassination

The assassination of JFK remains the FBI’s most famous case to date. The case was heavily publicized from start to finish, thanks to Kennedy’s popularity and public life. On November 22, 1963, as he traveled with wife, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis by his side, Kennedy was instantly killed by a sniper from a distance. The FBI became immediately involved, but the case wasn’t open and shut due to a number of confusing variables.

As JFK’s life was so highly publicized, what was eventually discovered to be a singular event became the source of multiple rumors and conspiracy theories. The public was frightened, scared, and concerned that other assassination attempts would follow. Fortunately, Lee Harvey Oswald was identified and arrested but was shot by Jack Ruby on November 24, 1963.
