In today’s world, it’s easy enough to travel from one country to another. In fact, sometimes going from one country to another is a simple matter of a couple of hours on an airplane or even walking across a border. While that ease of travel is convenient, it can also be threatening.
Not all countries offer the same vaccinations and not all countries have the same diseases. Going into those countries often requires a vaccination just for that reason. By the same turn, you want to be vaccinated just in case you are exposed to someone from outside of the country.
There are so many opposing views on the topic, that it can be a challenge knowing if you are making the right decision either way. In the end, consider the short and long term safety of your child, your family, and your community. Vaccinations can help to stop the spread of many illnesses, and in some cases even eradicate them altogether. They can protect people you weren’t even aware needed protection and they can protect your family from a lot of unnecessary illnesses and disease.
