If you like medical dramas, you’re likely a fan of Grey’s Anatomy. This popular television show premiered on ABC in 2005 and has lasted 11 seasons. In 2011, the show earned $2.67 million per half hour in revenue, making it the fourth highest earning show of the year. By its eighth season, although dropping slightly in ranking, the show was considered the highest rated drama on television for the demographic of 18 to 49 year old viewers.
Although one of the main characters stepped away last season, the show is still one of the most viewed on air. In its eleventh season, the show has taken a dip, but with the leading characters having signed on for at least one more season, we know there will be at least one more year to enjoy the show. And, if the fans have anything to say about it, it seems the show will be on for a few years more.
