Derek Fisher Wins the Game with Only .4 Seconds

At the 2004 Western Conference Semi-Finals, Derek Fisher was marked MVP. There’s a very good reason for this. After a lengthy game that looked all but lost, he swept in to save the day with a final shot in the last second of the game.

To make the play even more memorable, the competition began celebrating in the 4-5 seconds prior to Fisher’s score. To them, they had already won the semi-finals–surely there was no way to sink another ball in such a short amount of time? Alas for the other team, Fisher saved the day with finesse, winning the game and carrying his team forward to the finals.
