The turn of the century–or rather, the millennium–was a brilliant time for basketball. The year 2000 brought a massive amount of talent into the public eye. Just one example of this was basketball genius, Kobe Bryant. While he has many amazing moments over his career, nothing quite matches up to the game in 2006 where he scored a whopping 81 points.
While 81 points isn’t quite as astounding as you might think, it becomes quite amazing when you consider the fact that Bryant managed to accumulate these points in less than 45 minutes of nearly-straight play. His actions won his team, the Los Angeles Lakers, a solid win against the Toronto Raptors. While Bryant has had many successes outside of this, it remains his pivotal, shining moment for his fans.
