Nowadays, Jennifer Hudson is more known for her achieving her weight loss goals and it is often forgotten that she was once a contestant on the hit reality television show. Since competing on American Idol, Hudson has gone on to experience many successes in music as well as acting.
Although her weight loss and overall success have added to her popularity, there is no denying that Hudson has one of the best voices to come from American Idol. In fact, she is still one of the top selling contestants, several years after the season in which she finished as runner up. Although she came in 7th place on season three, the fact that she has sold 1.446 million records to date, and has starred in many roles on screen, likely makes up for it.
