If you are used to driving your car and owning a vehicle, you may want to rethink moving to New York City. People do own cars, but it is often times those who are wealthy and can afford the absurd insurance fees and parking spots. Not only are rates high, but because of the traffic, it’s difficult to get anywhere driving.

The subway is a very common mode of transportation in NYC and if you move there, you will probably have to get used to taking it rather than driving and maneuvering traffic with your own vehicle. It will eventually become your first choice when it comes to commuting to work or going out on a Friday night.
