Bonnie and Clyde
With everything from robbery to murder and kidnapping under their belt, Bonnie and Clyde became America’s best-known criminal couple. During their rampage of terror, the pair committed 13 murders, kidnappings, and multiple robberies and burglaries. Their highly-publicized reign of terror frightened Americans for years before they were finally caught.
After a series of associations with other violent criminals, Bonnie and Clyde finally met up with the latter’s brother after he was released from prison. While the FBI were actively seeking the two at this time, they managed to slip away and begin one of the most frightening and notorious robbery series ever recorded. When a string of vehicle thefts crossed state lines, the FBI became heavily involved with the case. Bonnie and Clyde were killed May 23, 1934, by a posse of police officers from Louisiana and Texas.
