However, you can still safely consume brown rice, as it has a lower glycemic index. There’s also evidence that doing so may help your heart over time. Brown rice has the ability to fill you up and keep you full for a long period of time, thanks to the high amount of fiber it contains.
To prepare a simple brown rice dish, prepare 1 cup of rice according to package directions. Next, chop one red onion and two large Tuscan kale leaves. Stir-fry both of these for three minutes in a large saucepan, adding just a dash of sea salt. Then, add the rice and fry for another minute and serve.
