Many people get a credit card statement and simply pay the minimum amount due. Not only is this foolish, it is a way that credit card fraud occurs. If you do not know what is being spent, or if unauthorized purchases were made, how are you supposed to stop them in the future?

Look at your statement. Sit down and actually review it each month. Make sure every purchase was made by, and authorized by you. If you can’t remember a purchase, call your credit card company.
