10 Tips for Dealing with Insurance After an Accident that is Your Fault

Don’t avoid questions or try to side step issues. Doing this only shows you were at fault, and will result in higher insurance rates, and potential suspension of your policy.

Only answer what is asked of you; you aren’t required to provide more information than is needed to file the claim. Don’t willingly go overboard with information, but be cooperative with the police and your insurer.
