10 Tips for Choosing a Bankruptcy Attorney

Price Matters

Don’t simply hire a lawyer because they are the most expensive and are assumed to be the best. Further, don’t settle on one just because they charge the lowest fees. In some way, you need to figure out the best attorney for the price that fits your budget.

Most of choosing a bankruptcy attorney involves visiting several lawyers, finding out their fees, and how you are expected to pay – by retainer, monthly, or one lump sum. You don’t have to hire the most expensive attorney, but don’t settle on the cheapest lawyer you can find either (especially if their rates are over $100 lower than competitors.)
