After maintaining your own legal rights, the most important thing to do is get proper medical attention. When people are hurt, even in the slightest, it might seem trivial, but they might have internal injuries which need to be dealt with in a hospital.
If anyone is hurt in your car or the other driver’s vehicle, or even a passenger or onlooker, make sure to call for ambulatory help immediately. It is best to be safer rather than sorry, and even if injuries are minimal, at least you know people are going to get the proper medical attention when they need it, to avoid worse injuries from occurring some time in the future.
