The state’s main industries are agricultural products, such as apples, eggs, cattle, nursery stock, and dairy items. It also has industries like tourism, plastic products, rubber, machinery, and electrical equipment.
Virginia is one of the highest income states and has a low unemployment rate at under 6%. The poverty percentage is also very low at under 10%. Some of the wealthiest towns in the state include Hancock with a median household income of $56,732, Seabrook Beach with a median house income of $59,760, and Derry with a median household income of $60,235.
