10 Richest People in the U.S.

Who are the richest people in the country?

For some reason, it is assumed that the richest people in the country simply inherited all of their money. While that’s certainly true in some cases, in many other cases the richest people started out with nothing more than an idea. The system of capitalism and the development of technology have combined to make it possible to be a successful entrepreneur by using a bit of ingenuity. In fact, becoming wealthy today can start with something as simple as a conversation in a dorm room, as you will see shortly.

While some people made their money from their own great ideas, others made their wealth by investing in someone else’s great idea. For those with an eye for sound investments, this path can be a very lucrative one. Of course, it takes a bit of money to get started, but in some cases, the right investment can lead to a financial windfall. Those with the knowledge to make this happen in a manner that involves sound business ethics should be applauded for their successes.

Though the people listed here are some of the wealthiest people in the country and in some cases, the world, many of them give back to their communities. It would be hard to believe that these donations were done strictly for tax purposes as some jaded consumers believe, simply because these donations often go to areas that these wealthy people have a personal interest in. Here are the 10 richest people in the U.S.
