One of the 10 fastest-growing cities in the United States is also number five on the list of the most dangerous cities in Texas. The south-central city of San Antonio has a population of 1,380,123 residents and has been reported to have a crime rate of about 66 per 1,000 residents.
The annual rate of violent crimes committed in the city is 5.11 per 1,000 and the rate of property crimes is 60.69 per 1,000 residents. The odds of you being victimized in a criminal act committed in San Antonio are one in 15.
